One Segment a Day eL Torrito Strava Challenge – by: Torrey Hash Day #1 – 15 Day (1) segment per day challenge. Day (1)  Strava Segment Title:  eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint1 Day 1 : Day one started out as a normal routine route for me, but when I was about 0.2miles into the route, I had a random thought to change it up. I thought to myself, if I am to really do a new segment to and from work each day, then I will need to be creative in how I develop a new segment each day. Not just to work, but from work as well. These segments can't be the same. This idea and challenge are to research which route I would be most efficient on. Now of course we will need to take account for obstacles, such as; traffic lights, stop signs, and even the wind for that day. The general idea though, is to find out which segment route can shave off a few minutes of time each day. It will also be a way to track my segments and compare the data I collect off each individual segment. I will th

Day (13) Strava Segment Title:  eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint13 Day 13:  This segment was tough. It was over 100 degrees out when I did this one, so if you destroy my time on this segment I will try to come out in the cool air and improve on my time.  There were issues with unlocking comments on this blog. I hopefully have fixed the issue and we can comment freely now. If you are still commenting and it is not posting or getting through to me, then please email us @ hashtagz.enterprises@icloud.com. This has been fun and exciting to complete these challenge segments with all of you!    I appreciate the feedback and will look forward to generating more blog content for you regarding the requests I've received. The top three blog ideas I have selected are: tri-athlete schedule for one month. Which would include running, swimming, and cycling. A diet and nutrition blog for cyclists. Then a recovery plan for active cyclists. I will select one of these projects to blog

Day (12) Strava Segment Title:  eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint12 Day 12:  So, we have hit the 12 th  day of the segment challenge! I just recently approved some comments from you guys. I apologize for the delay in reviewing the comments. I have also been reviewing the e-mails and am going honor some requests to see more uphill segments. Day 12 was tough due to not being able to find a good recovery. I will be doing different recovery projects and blogging about the research I find in using different recovery methods. I will also have a blog on finding the best diet to use during a 30-day period. This research will all be blogged on this site so be sure to look for that blog in the future. These methods and research projects will also be available in e-book format to download on iTunes. DAY (11) One Segment a Day eL Torrito Strava Challenge

Day (11)  Strava Segment Title:  eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint11 Day 11:  Today’s segment was an uphill sprint and about 8.6 miles. This one may be one of my all-time favorites. I like to choose segments that cut through parks or trails and are pretty long, so nobody is tempted to ruin it by driving them in a car, or accidentally leaving their Strava on record while heading home.  I crashed on my morning ride today. I purchased a new bike, and the gentlemen I had purchased it from decided he would shine the tires up nice with tire shine. That was a bad idea because into a pretty tight turn at the top of the wash i went down. Luckily, I am okay. Let's look and see the segment for Day 11!   Content from our affiliates:

DAY (10) One Segment a Day eL Torrito Strava Challenge

Day (10) Strava Segment Title:  eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint10 Day 10:  This morning I rode with my morning group. Well I guess I rode with the only two guys that didn't go on the Saints to Sinners event. This morning group is truly a big influence on why I am a cyclist. Do you have a ride that you train for during the year that is now an annual event you go to? This challenge segment is a DH and a bit longer than the usual segments. I try to keep them long and cut through an area where a car can’t drive. I have seen alot of good segments go to waste due to them being driven or someone forgetting their recording and drive across town. I mean come on… we have all done it right? Day (9) One Segment a Day eL Torrito Strava Challenge

Day (9) Strava Segment Title: eL Torrito - 1Seg A Day Challenge - TW.Sprint9 Day 9: Today’s segment was a tough uphill battle for me due to the wind constantly changing direction and the humidity. It felt like I couldn't adjust to the heat and wind but I tried my best to get a good time for the segment.  I feel that I am not getting the recovery I need each day on these rides. Do you have a routine or ritual that you use to recover? Let me know what you do in recovery because I am in desperate need of knowledge regarding recovery. I dont feel like my body is getting the recovery it needs each day. What are some methods you use to recovery? Let's look and see the segment for Day 9! CHECK OUT BIKES ONLINE!
